McCain and Good Government

Look, I'm not going to lie and say that I agree with John McCain on everything. As those of you that frequent my blog know, he wasn't my choice. However, McCain's fiscally conservative polices and his crusade against Congressional Earmarks is one of my favorite things about him.

Make no mistake, our current deficits are not the result of Bush's tax cuts. Our deficits are a result of a financially irresponsible Congress (both Democrats and Republicans), and Bush's failure to veto spending bills full of pork.

Our government must be better and more efficient. Cutting pork and earmarks would be a great first step. Less government is better government.

Or, as Reagan put it.

"Government is not a solution to our problem, government is the problem."
