International Hearld Tribune: Obama's promise of a new majority, and the questions it prompts
Editor's Note: This is a great story. I think it is a question voters will have to answer come November. Obama's theme to change Washington is something we've heard before. Clinton and Bush before him and neither brought much change to Washington, espeically change in the political tone as they had hoped and promised. Obama mentions in this article that the Senate votes are so divisive it basically forces you to come down on one side or the other. My question to Senator Obama would be: If you can't change, or be a part of changing, the political tone of the Senate, what makes you think you can change the political tone of Washington? More importantly, the two presidents before you promised the same thing, what would you do differently that would make you more successful?
