I think this is a very interesting turn of events and it isn't the specifics of the attack, but the fact that he IS attacking.
Obama has really stayed on message throughout this campaign with a few exceptions. The fact that he is attacking tells me that the Obama campaign's internal polling is telling us what other polls have been saying since the Wright scandal hit.
Obama is reeling. The Wright scandal not only hurt, but it has been effective for the Clinton campaign who has remained most silent on the issue.
Obama still holds a huge advantage and I still think will be the Democratic nominee. He has won the most states, has more votes and more delegates. But the "Clinton would be a flawed candidate" attack is not aimed at voters in Pennsylvania, Indiana or North Carolina. It is an attack aimed at those valuable super delegates who have been sitting on the fence since Hillary's victories in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island.
The Wright scandal has hurt Obama enough that his campaign is on the defensive to prove that it will not hurt his electability in November.
Now that it appears that a revote will not happen in Florida and Michigan, I believe that electability in November is the only argument Hillary has left.
