Playing politics with our national security

Thanks to the inaction of House Democrats, under the leadership of Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act is left on the table and the United States is less safe as a result. For another two weeks, as Members of Congress are home for the Easter Break and their District Work Peroid, the US Intelligence Community does not have the tools it needs to protect us against those wishing to do harm to our country.

According to the National Review, Democratic leadership did NOT consult with the intelligence community or the Justice Department about the nation's surveillance needs. That's good leadership.

THIS is the reason national security should be a major issue this November. Democrats just don't get it. The failure of the Democratic Congress to produce a renewed FISA bill that has been a success (name the number of attacks that have happened on American soil since September 11, 2001)is a total and utter shame.

If another terrorist attack happens on our soil, God forbid, Democratic leaders should be held responsible for their inaction, lack of leadership and for playing politics with our National Security.
