Will Clinton quit?

Over the last few days, two prominent Democratic Senators have called on Hillary Clinton to pull out of the Democratic Primary.

While this makes for big headlines, don't look for Hillary to give into the pressure and call it quits.

The two Senators making these calls, Patrick Leahy and Christopher Dodd, both have endorsed Obama. They join New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson as big name Democrats calling on Clinton to drop out. However, given all three are supporting and have endorsed Obama, their motives can be questioned.

Will this lead to other big name Democrats to urge Senator Clinton to pull out?

DNC Chairman Howard Dean came out this week calling on the Super Delegates to make up their mind by July, while Al Gore is saying the primary will "resolve itself."

Clinton is standing firm saying this at a rally in Indiana:

"There are millions of reasons to continue this race: people in Pennsylvania, Indiana and North Carolina, and all of the contests yet to come," Clinton told reporters Friday. "This is a very close race and clearly I believe strongly that everyone should have their voices heard and their votes counted."

Look, Obama is going to be the nominee. If Clinton figures out a way to win this, many, will view her as stealing the election. I no longer want Clinton to win because I think she will be the easier candidate for McCain to beat in November. I want Hillary to win because her victory would absolutely split the Democratic Party. It would be devastating.

The longer this goes, the more powerful Al Gore becomes. The question is, does he want it?
