GOP worried about Barr

I said it over a month ago. McCain's continuing thumb in the eye to the conservative base of the Republican Party is troubling. I think McCain thinks that when it comes down to it, conservatives will vote for him more as an anti-liberal vote against Obama rather than as a vote for him.

Honestly, that's how I'm justifying my vote for him. It is the lesser of two evils, but I think I'm in the minority of conservatives. Many just don't like or trust McCain, and you can't blame them. The man has worked more with Democrats than he has with his own party. You have to love that bipartisanship.

By the way, have you ever noticed when the media and Democrats talk about bipartisanship, it's always in reference to Republicans crossing the aisle to work with Democrats. It's always about Republicans accepting Democratic proposals. Bipartisanship never involves a Democrat crossing over to work with Republicans.

Sorry, that's another post for another day. Back to my point about being right about the Barr problem a month ago.

It appears now that the GOP is a little fearful of Barr as well. I would hope that McCain would see this, but doubtful that he will.

MORE

Talk Left is saying Barr could be the next Ralph Nader. Refresher, Nadar, running in 2000, probably took away enough votes from Gore in Florida to keep Gore from winning Florida. I've heard it said many times, if Nader doesn't run in 2000, there isn't a President George W. Bush.
