Wanted to let everyone know that the next couple of weeks will probably be some scare posting. The wife and I are both going to be out of town for business and I have an event in Asheville, North Carolina to prepare for that is consuming a considerable amount of my time.
So just a few tibits to post on today that has caught my mind. Feel free to comment below if you have any thoughts.
1. Does Obama really want to name Hillary Clinton as his new Secretary of State? I thought he was trying to reclaim our moral standing in the world? Dick Morris sure thinks it's a mistake.
2. A man I worked under when I managed Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson's campaign, Lloyd Smith, is being considered for the new chair of the Missouri Republican Party. Lloyd has been Congresswoman Emerson's Chief of Staff since she was elected in 1996, and he was her husband's chief of staff before. Lloyd is a brilliant political strategist and it would be a great get for the MO Republican Party.
3. Looks like the Global Warming Activist will once again march on Washington. Forecast: cold and snow. I hope they bundle up!!
4. If Mark Cuban was hoping to buy the Chicago Cubs, the events of today will more than likely keep that from happening. Paging Martha Stewart...Martha Stewart.
5. Here in Tennessee, is anyone going to want to be Governor in 2 years when Phil Bredesen leaves office? Budget hearings start today with most state departments facing a 10 percent cut. This, in the light of a $800 budget shortfall facing the state of Tennessee. Taking over this state would be like becoming the CEO of AIG. Who in there right mind would want that job!
6. Finally, have to give a little shout out to the 10-0 Tennessee Titans. It wasn't pretty in the first half yesterday, but Kerry Collins and the boys played some excellent ball in the 2nd half. Basically ended the playoff hopes of the Jaguars. Up next, Brett Farve and the J-E-T-S, Jets! Jets! Jets! A win next week would clinch at least a tie for the AFC South.
