Obama Advisor, and former Clinton Labor Secretary, Robert Reich is telling the public that we should be "very careful about the expectations we are putting on this man (Obama)."
Reich went on to say:
"This might be a long haul."
"2009 is going to be a very hard year. Some economists say we won't be out of this for two years, others are saying it may be three, or four, maybe five years."
Reich is right, but the expectations were set by Obama himself. He was the one that promised change. He was the one that promised to make it all better. If the Obama public has lofty expectations of their chosen one they have no one to blame but Obama himself. Obama is the one that raised that bar of expectations.
Are we hearing now that Obama can't back up all of the eloquent speeches and lofty rhetoric?
Sure sounds that way to me. I guess that "change" slogan should have come with an asterisk.
