Joe Biden warned us during the campaign that the "mettle of this guy would be tested."
I'm sure that he didn't think it would be because of the crooked dealings of Obama's own governor.
It would be wise of President-Elect Obama to put everything out in the open about what deals he or his office had with Blagojevich. Otherwise, this scandle is going to plague the first year or so of his presidency.
Of course, if his involvement is questionable, I'm sure he wants to keep it under wraps.
Obama has already said that he had no contact with Blagojevich on his Senate seat, BUT, his right hand man David Axelrod has already said otherwise.
Update: Axelrod "misspoke."
Sorry, but that explanation doesn't cut it, and Obama or Axelrod didn't even release the statement. It came from the infamous "Obama aide, speaking on the condition of anonymity."
Obama himself, not Axlerod or a campaign aide, MUST put this issue to rest quickly and leave it between the Feds and Blagojevich.
The mettle of President-elect Obama is being tested, and he isn't even in office yet. Obama promised a transparent presidency, he must deliver on that promise or his presidency will start under a very dark cloud.
